What is paintless dent removal (PDR)?

Paintless dent removal is an innovative process for repairing minor dents, dings and hail damage with specialized tools and without using paint, replacement panels or body filler. Our skilled technicians apply pressure and leverage to the back of the panel while maintaining the condition of your factory paint.
Is PDR a new method of repair?

No. Auto plants have used this cost-effective process for over 50 years. Car dealers, rental agencies, the general public and others have used PDR for over 30 years.
Will this process damage my paint?

No. Today’s automotive paints are somewhat flexible but keep in mind that only a highly trained PDR technician can successfully remove the dent and get your car looking new again.
What should I do if my paint is scratched or chipped?

We can still remove dents if there is a scratch or chipped paint. We can remove minor scratches but cannot remove deep scratches. Paint chips can be touched up after the repair is done as desired.
How long will the job take?

Dentex offers same-day repairs on most jobs. In fact, paintless dent removal can usually be done in 1 to 3 hours.
Can you remove any dents?

We can handle a wide variety of jobs and estimate that 90% of dents can be completely repaired. If you have a dent that extends over two panels, PDR may not be able to remove it completely. Additionally, other options may need to be explored if you have a dent at the edge of your panel. Your best bet is to come by our shop and let our skilled technicians have a look.
What size dents do you remove?

Most dents are the size of your palm or smaller. Many are approximately the size of a coin. Dentex can repair large dents, including ones the size of a basketball (or larger).
Will the dent reappear?

No. Paintless dent removal doesn’t hide or simply cover up the damage. The panel of your car will be returned to factory condition. Once PDR removes the dent, it won’t come back. This is your Dentex guarantee.
Is PDR safe for the environment?

Completely. The PDR process does not involve any toxins, chemicals, paint, or body filler. There is no waste involved, so nothing gets thrown out. Our method simply involves specialized tools and skilled technicians.
How much will my dent removal cost?

The cost depends on the dent's size and depth, but on average, this process is much more affordable than traditional body shop repairs. A typical body shop charge can start around $1200 for a repair that we can do for around $150 to $200. We have a starting price of $150 per job. We don’t charge per dent but instead on the overall job.
